Privacy policy
Protecting your personal data matters to us. This policy explains which data is processed when you visit this website or get in touch. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva (Switzerland). When you open the website, the server automatically records technical information your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system details. This data is needed to run the website securely and reliably and is deleted automatically according to the hosting provider's standard retention periods. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Legal basis (GDPR): legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Contact form and email
If you use the inquiry form, your details (name, email address, message and the optional details about your company and object) are not sent to the web server. Instead, your own email app opens with a prepared message to contact@silvaq.ch. The message only reaches us when you send it. You can also email us directly at any time.
We use your details solely to respond to your inquiry and do not share them with third parties. The mailbox is operated by Infomaniak (Switzerland). We keep the correspondence until the inquiry has been dealt with, and beyond that only where statutory retention duties apply (for business correspondence usually up to ten years).
Legal basis (GDPR): steps prior to entering into a contract at your request, or legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
4. Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website does not set cookies and uses no analytics, marketing or tracking services. When you switch the language, your browser remembers the choice in local storage (entry “silvaq-lang”). The entry never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.
5. Fonts and images
The typeface (Plus Jakarta Sans) and all images are delivered from our own server. No data is sent to Google, Unsplash or other third parties when you open the website. Linked websites (for example Unsplash in the image credits) are only opened when you click the link; their own privacy policies apply from then on.
6. Disclosure and transfers abroad
We do not pass your personal data on to third parties, except to our hosting and email provider Infomaniak, which processes it on our behalf in data centres in Switzerland. We do not transfer data to countries without adequate data protection.
7. Data security
Transmission between your browser and this website is encrypted via HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights
You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and release of your data. You may object to processing and withdraw any consent at any time. Please write to contact@silvaq.ch; we may ask for proof of identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); visitors from the EU may contact the supervisory authority of their country of residence.
9. Changes
We may amend this policy, for example when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
